Meet the True Wellness Acupuncture Team
Kimberly Reynolds Norolahi is the Owner and Acupuncturist at True Wellness Acupuncture. In addition to being an Acupuncturist, she is an Herbalist with a Nursing background and understands all aspects of care including tests, procedures, medications and the treatments that your doctors’ recommend.
Since beginning her nursing career in 1994, she has come to the understanding that patients want a quick resolution to their health problems without long term dependence on medications. In addition, they want proper nutrition education and practical ways to prevent disease. Most importantly, they want to know how to live a better life without constant aches and pains, mood swings, low energy and poor concentration.
By using various Chinese Medicine techniques (Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine, Nutrition, Gua Sha, Cupping, Massage, and lifestyle modification) Kimberly will provide a comprehensive treatment plan to restore health and well-being with a simple and relaxing treatment method that delivers a quick and easy resolution to most health problems.
Kaitlin’s higher education began with a Bachelor’s of Arts in History from the University of California, Los Angeles. While attending UCLA she was a member of the Pre-Optometry Society and the Cotsen Institute of Archaeology. After graduating she was accepted to the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, San Diego where she received her Master’s degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine.
Her journey into traditional Chinese medicine began when she was diagnosed with Bell’s Palsy. She quickly discovered the healing powers of this ancient form of treatment. She decided to blend her love for history and her strong calling to help others into a rewarding career.
During her time in school she was blessed with the opportunity to provide acupuncture, massage, and herbal remedies to the community through the externships such as San Diego Downtown Free Clinic where she collaborated with University of California, San Diego medical students, a senior citizen free clinic, and a Veterans clinic. Being a former high school hall of fame athlete playing basketball, softball, and club soccer, Kaitlin also enjoyed working with student athletes at the UCSD RIMAC Sports Complex and shadowing at AcuSport Health Center where she learned acupuncture for the treatment of orthopedic injuries.
Outside the clinic, she enjoys nature jogs (Torrey Pines State Park being top of the list), and spending time with her family, friends and puppies. She looks forward to helping others heal and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
